Dylan Stone would really rather be writing sports columns but instead routinely engages in a battle of the sexes with Veronica Chasen, a columnist at a rival newspaper. Anything he can do, she can do better. Until she challenges him to learn how to knit. Surely knitting is not that difficult to learn, is it? Dylan thought that this would be an easy challenge until he finds out it’s not as simple as it looks. So he ups the stakes a little bit and challenges Ronnie to teach him how to knit. Will these two rivals learn that there is a fine line between love and hate?

Being a quilter, the idea of a romance story revolving around some type of crafting appealed to me. Tangled Upin Love was an awesome and playful read. I admit to not knowing a lot about knitting, but reading this book makes me want to add it to my list of things to learn sometime. The tension between Ronnie and Dylan was enchanting, and I anxiously awaited each move that they made. The author does include a pattern in this book for those of you readers who do knit. Ms. Betts has created some side stories with other characters that I look forward to reading about in the future. Her next book in this series is due out in August, and I am excited and looking forward to its release. I would recommend adding this great book to your summer reading list.

Book Excerpt: “Ever since Dylan Stone beat Veronica Chasen out of a prime position at the Cleveland Courier, they’ve been bitter rivals, engaging in a very public war of words in their competing newspaper columns. They routinely challenge each other to go bungee jumping, white water rafting, or into tattoo parlors to see who will wimp out first. But Veronica’s latest taunt may be Dylan’s toughest assignment yet: She dares him to learn to knit.

Dylan is not going to let something his grandmother can do scare him off. He’s man enough to make a scarf—and attend Veronica’s weekly knitting circle. But when the infuriatingly handsome Dylan shows up at the craft shop and charms all the ladies, Veronica starts to get all knotted up in something that feels a lot like love…”
